About us

We are an emergency care department where we care for patients from the emergency room and directly from the ambulance. We currently have 16 care places divided between internal medicine and stroke/TIA places. Our unique workplace with different focuses provides an opportunity for a very broad competence. You will gain specialized skills in emergency care for stroke patients, while also caring for medical patients who can be investigated and treated for many different conditions. With both patient groups, we work in teams together with doctors and rehabilitation staff to create good care and jointly investigate the patient’s symptoms and complaints to arrive at a diagnosis.

About you

We are looking for a licensed nurse with a positive attitude who is seeking a workplace with a good work environment! We believe that you as an individual make a difference for the patients, and that we as a group strengthen each other and contribute to each other’s competence. Our driving force lies in seeing each patient’s needs. You will work closely with patients and have a good attitude, understanding, and interest in people. You are good at listening and communicating with both patients and relatives and always work from a patient-focused approach.

As you work in a team and have contacts with various partners, you need to have good collaboration skills.

You are confident and stable in yourself and can adapt to situations and prioritize. To thrive in the role, you need to be flexible, accustomed to taking initiatives, and organizing and planning your work independently. You have the ability to lead, distribute, and coordinate tasks to the team based on the staff’s different competencies according to the patient’s needs.

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will be part of the Clinical Foundation Year, which is our introduction program. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts for the first year of your employment with us. It includes lectures, nursing supervision, and practical training of your profession at the Simulator Center. In addition, it also includes service in at least two different departments to broaden your competence.

In the event of recruitment of nurses/doctors with foreign licenses/specialist certificates, the current position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish licenses/specialist certificates.
